More urban photography from readers across the region. Today’s edition: Cincinnati’s Prospect Hill.

For those of you who’ve never been, Cincinnati is a really interesting blend of Rust Belt, Appalachia and Southern.

It’s hilly and many of those hills, with their striking views of the city, have become popular spots for nightlife and prime real estate. Prospect Hill is one of those places.

This is Cincinnati at it’s best.

The neighborhood is a smorgasbord of architectural styles from Italianate, to Greek Revival to Queen Anne.

Most of the homes there are brick and they were built between 1860 and 1880. I think I mentioned before that Cincinnati is an old city. This particular neighborhood was founded by veterans of the Revolutionary War.

Check out this impeccably restored bar. You could be in 1810.

Now you’ve been forewarned. If you’re headed through Cincinnati, head up. The general rule of thumb is, the higher the terrain the better the neighborhood and the better the view!
