China will add to India’s concerns by running a 6.5-km-long electric train from Lhasa in Tibet to Ningchi. Since Ningchi is close to India’s Arunachal Pradesh border, China may use the train strategically in future.
An electric railway linking Tibet’s capital Lhasa with the city of Ningchi has been completed. The first electric train will run on this route in Tibet as it marks the 100th anniversary of the founding of the ruling Communist Party of China.
The distance between Lhasa and Ningchi is 7.5 kilometres. Ningchi is so close to the Arunachal Pradesh border that China has chosen this route to run Tibet’s first electric train.
Liu Jiang, an engineer at the Lhasa-Nyingchi Railway, said that all the procedures required to start the electric train have been completed. Construction started in November last year. At that time, the work was urged to be completed before the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China. Under this, Tibet’s first electric train is ready to run.
Chinese state media announced the launch of Tibet’s first electric train. This train will probably start running from July 1. This will be a matter of concern for India, as China may use the electric train, which connects the city of Madog near the Arunachal Pradesh border with Lhasa, the capital of Tibet, to use it strategically against India if necessary. for.
