12-year-old gunman massacre in this country, 138 people died

On June 4, 138 people were killed in a horrific attack in Faso, Burkina Faso. The United Nations says that the massacre in Faso, Burkina Faso, involved young children and was carried out by children between the ages of 12 and 14.

The attackers attacked Solhan village in Sahel Yagha province and also set houses on fire. Government spokesman Oshini Tambora also acknowledged that most of the attackers were children. Terrorist organizations such as Al Qaeda and IS are active in the region. A large number of children are involved in these terrorist organizations.

UNICEF’s statement has come after the incident and has strongly criticized the involvement of children in terrorist organizations. At the same time, it is considered a violation of the fundamental rights of children. Last year during the Corona epidemic, the country was under a nationwide lockdown from March to June and since then many children have not returned to school. According to a United Nations report, more than 3 lakh children have dropped out of school in the country so far.

According to ACLED, more than 5,700 people have died in the country since 2015. According to a report by a military officer, these children are usually abducted between the ages of 7 to 8 years and taken into custody till the age of 12.
