America’s most controversial case: Police officer sentenced to 22.5 years in prison for killing black George Floyd

Last year, a black man, George Floyd, was murdered in police custody in the United States. Former police officer Derek Chovin has been sentenced by a court to 22.5 years in prison.

During the hearing, the judge said that Derek Chovin’s sentence was based on the abuse of power he received and the brutality he had on George Floyd.

After the killing of George Floyd in the United States, riots broke out and chaos broke out in major cities.
