UK issues visas to 56,000 Indian students in 2020

New Delhi: The UK has issued visas to 3,000 Indian students in 2020. Britain’s Home Secretary Priti Patel said on Wednesday that this is an increase of 12 percent compared to the same period a year ago.

He was addressing a session of Global Leadership Women First: Radical Action in the Post-Pandemic Era on India’s Global Form. Last year we issued student visas to 3,000 Indians. Most importantly, we saw a 12 per cent increase in visa issuance amid the Corona pandemic.

A program of Post Study Route has been started which is mainly for Post Study Work Route. Through this the best of the best can be brought to the UK. Thus the UK will be the center of arrival and study for Indian students and they can contribute in the long run by working here.

Speaking at the forum, Kenya’s Cabinet Secretary for Sports, Heritage and Cultural Affairs Amina Mohamed said the UN Sustainable Development Goal-Five Racial Equality SDGs is one of the most effective aspects of the pandemic. So short, medium and long term planning is needed to ensure racial equality.

Hopefully if we all go together we will be able to get women back to work and get them back on their feet. We can implement several steps. We can issue plans for what we can do in the short, medium and long term.
