The UK Home Office has launched its new post-study work visa for international students. Under this visa, students graduating in the UK from countries including India will be able to apply for a visa to stay in the UK to gain job experience at the end of their course.

Last year, UK Home Secretary Priti Patel announced the graduate route visa. Applications for this visa are being accepted and Indian students will benefit from this visa.

Indian students will benefit from the new Post Study Work (PSW) visa in the UK. Indian students have been one of the largest groups of international students admitted to British universities over the years.

Foreign students who obtain a PSW visa can work or find a job in the UK for two years after completing their studies. The visa was presented by UK Home Secretary Priti Patel last year.

Last year, 3,000 Indian students were issued student visas. Which is 15% more than last year. To obtain this visa, foreign students must have a valid higher education degree from the UK.

The deadline to qualify for a new Post-Study Work (PSW) visa in the UK was recently extended to September 6, 2021.

The National Union of Indian Students and Alumni (NISU), UK has been seeking an extension for some time.
