Dhawan is behind West Indies legend Vivian Richards who scored 6000 runs in 141 innings. Apart from this, Joe Root of England also achieved this feat in 141 innings. Former India captain Sourav Ganguly and South African star AB de Villiers took 147 innings to reach this figure.
Dhawan has completed 10,000 runs in international cricket as an opener more than a Sri Lankan batsman. There are five batsmen to score 10,000 runs in international cricket for India.
