Born in Punjab, Simi Singh has played Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 cricket for Punjab. However, she was dropped from the Under-19 team and went to Ireland for studies. The third ODI cricket match between South Africa and Dublin was played with a bang. A total of three centuries were scored in this match. Simi Singh’s full name is Simranjit Singh and she was born in 1987 in Bathnala, Punjab. Simi has played Under-14, Under-17 and Under-19 cricket for Punjab. He and spinner Yuzvendra Chahal played cricket together at DAV College, Chandigarh. However, he was dropped from the Punjab Under-19 team and his career in India came to an end. He had decided to quit cricket.

He excelled in batting and bowling in Ireland’s domestic cricket. Due to which he also got the citizenship of Ireland and in 2017 his dream of playing international cricket came true.
