It has been a weird couple of days for the NHL thanks to Vegas Golden Knights netminder Robin Lehner going on a Twitter rampage alleging coaches of pushing pills onto players without prescriptions, singling out Philadelphia Flyers head coach Alain Vigneault as a culprit.
Vigneault chose to address the issue in his Monday press conference, expressing his disappointment in being accused of giving players meds.
“As far as me pushing pills, I don’t need another income,” Vigneault said, via ESPN’s Greg Wyshynski. “I have no idea where that comes from. I don’t know what else to say. I have no idea.”
