Cody Rigsby made history on the latest episode of Dancing With the Stars, though it’s not necessarily history that he wanted to make.
The 34-year-old Peloton instructor became the first DWTS contestant to ever perform their dance from home on Monday night (October 4).
Cody and his partner Cheryl Burke both had to stay at home this week after they tested positive for breakthrough COVID.

Cheryl says that the remote performance is “one of the hardest things” she’s ever done.
“I’m just really grateful that despite everything that’s happened in the last several days, we’ve been able to pivot and stay in the competition virtually for this week,” she told People. “We’ve been given a really unique opportunity and challenge for Britney week and while it may seem like performing remotely has its advantages, I will say this is one of the hardest things I’ve ever had to do!”
Cody is Britney Spears‘ biggest fan and all of his Peloton students are well aware. They performed a Jazz dance to “Gimme More” and earned 18 out of 30 possible points, which was unfortunately the lowest score of the night. Thankfully, they made it through to next week!
