Dog the Bounty Hunter has described some of Brian Laundrie’s Instagram posts as “demonic.”
The reality television star has been leading a high-profile search for the missing 23-year-old who is the subject of a nationwide manhunt and wanted in connection with the murder of his girlfriend Gabby Petito.
Petito’s remains were found at a Wyoming campsite on September 19 after Laundrie returned from their cross-country trip alone.
Laundrie has been missing since he left his home in Florida for a hike on either September 13 or 14.
Dog, whose given name is Duane Chapman, has been leading a search mainly focused on islands near Fort De Soto Park.
However, Laundrie’s parents now believe he is at the Carlton Reserve in Sarasota County, Florida, while numerous tips have placed him on the Appalachian Trail.
As part of his search, Chapman has been studying Laundrie’s social media, and he finds some of what he posted disturbing.
Speaking to Dr. Oz on Tuesday, the 68-year-old fugitive hunter said some of Laundrie’s content was “very dark.”

“One thing Dr. Oz that I looked at and we all looked at, is that he has Instagram posts,” Chapman said, per The Sun. “Now if you look at them, there are pictures of what I would call demonic-looking things.
“Some of the books that he has read are very, very dark. I mean this kid was not in a very good state of mind before and after this happened.”
Chapman appears to be referring to some artwork posted on Laundrie’s Instagram account.
Some posts feature the same artwork of a painting and drawing that appears to be a man wearing a wolf mask, sitting in a chair and holding a blood-soaked knife.
While another artwork Laundrie shared was captioned: “Grim Reaper leading sheep to the slaughter, and a mousetrap.”
Brian Laundrie’s father Chris Laundrie was asked on Wednesday to help North Port officers in the search Laundrie family attorney Steve Bertolino told CNN.
This comes as law enforcement discovered a recently used campsite during a search for Laundrie in the Carlton Reserve in Venice.
“Chris Laundrie was asked to assist law enforcement in their search for Brian at the preserve today,” Bertolino said.
“Since the preserve has been closed to the public Chris has not been able to look for Brian in the only place Chris and Roberta believe Brian may be.”

Bertolino continued: “Unfortunately North Port Police had to postpone Chris’s involvement but Chris and Roberta are hopeful there will be another opportunity to assist.”
However, North Port Police later said that the department would not ask Laundrie to help search for his son and that the FBI was the main organization involved in the case.
