Ellen DeGeneres is sending a message to her ex-girlfriend Anne Heche‘s loved ones.
On Thursday (August 11), the 53-year-old actress’ rep released a devastating update on the actress’ condition following last week’s car crash, revealing that Anne is “not expected to survive.”
A few days after the crash, a photographer was able to get a few brief comments from Ellen, 64, about Anne‘s hospitalization.
On Friday (August 12), Ellen took to social media to share a more personal message to Anne‘s loved ones.

“This is a sad day. I’m sending Anne’s children, family and friends all of my love,” Ellen tweeted.
If you didn’t know, Ellen and Anne dated from 1997 until 2000.
Anne shares 13-year-old son Atlas with James Tupper and 20-year-old son Homer with Coleman Laffoon.
