Samsung Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 are listed on the FCC (US Federal Communications) website, a few months before the launch of the two smartphones next year.
Both the smartphones belong to the Samsung Galaxy S22 series, which is expected to launch next year in February. The two handsets will most likely debut after the launch of Galaxy S21 FE in January.
A foldable LED View Cover is also spotted on the FCC website, which is expected to have NFC connectivity. On the other hand, Galaxy S22+ could have ultra-wideband connectivity, Wi-Fi support and 5G.
According to MySmartPrice’s report, both Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 is featured on FCC’s website. The listing also features a few relevant details about the two upcoming smartphones. They have mentioned the details related to battery capacity and connectivity of the handsets.
As per sources, the smartphones are going to debut on February 8, 2022. However, it is yet to be formally confirmed by Samsung. As of now, they haven’t made any official announcements.
Based on reports, Samsung Galaxy S22 has the model number SM-S901U on the FCC listing. It is also expected that the smartphone will come with Wi-Fi 6 and 5G connectivity. Besides that, it will also have NFC and Bluetooth support.
On the other hand, Samsung Galaxy S22+ has the model number SM-S906U. It is expected to come with Wi-Fi 6, NFC, UWB, and connectivity. It could also be equipped with a 4,370mAh battery with 25W fast charging support.
According to the FCC listing, the LED View Cover could feature a sporty foldable design and NFC support.
Other details such as the camera and processor specifications are not yet revealed on the FCC listing. Based on older reports, the handset could feature the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 SoC, with an Exynos for the US. Both the smartphones are expected to have full-HD+ displays with a screen size of 6.06 inches for Galaxy S22 and 6.55-inches for Galaxy S22+.
According to Tipster Ice Universe, Galaxy S22+ and Galaxy S22 are most likely to feature a triple rear camera setup with a 50-megapixel primary camera, a 12-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera, and a 10-megapixel telephoto camera. It is reported to have an f/2.4 aperture and 3x optical zoom. As far as the selfie camera is concerned, it could arrive at a 10-megapixel selfie lens.
All this information is yet to be confirmed by Samsung. They haven’t made any official announcements yet.
