Oppo is all set to reveal its first foldable smartphone. Last week, the company announced that they are going to unveil their new Fold N smartphone on 15 December 2021.
Before the official reveals, the high-resolution renders and key specifications of the smartphone has already been leaked online. Based on the leaked news, the new smartphone is going to have two colour options, including Silver and Black. It is also going to feature a triple camera set-up at the back.
The new foldable phone is equipped with two selfie sensors, one inside the hole-punch cut-out on the main display, and the other one on the secondary panel.
Pete Lau, the Chief Product Officer of Oppo and founder of OnePlus had earlier informed that the smartphone will be user-friendly. He had also clarified that it will be of appropriate size and weight.
Tipster Evan Blass shared that the upcoming Oppo Fold N will be somewhat similar to Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold-3 in terms of design. The secondary display will cover the entire panel on the outer shell.
The tipster also shared the alleged key specifications of the smartphone. The spec sheet suggests that it will have a 60Hz secondary display, while the main panel will have a 120Hz refresh rate. There are chances that the smartphone will have an LTPO panel with improved power management and adaptive refresh rate.
The upcoming Oppo Fold N might have Qualcomm Snapdragon 888, which is present in the Galaxy Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Fold 3.
Oppo Fold N will also feature a triple camera setup with a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 sensor, a 13-megapixel telephoto sensor, and a 16-megapixel ultra-wide-angle sensor. For selfies, it will have a 32-megapixel shooter.
Other features that might be a part of the Oppo Fold N includes a 4,500 mAh battery. It is also expected to include a 33W wired fast-charging facility. Users may also find 15W wireless fast-charging support.
The phone might have two storage variants, one with 128GB RAM and 512GB storage, and the other with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage. As of now, it is not known whether the sale will begin this year.
